United Kingdom
Polls opened early morning on Thursday as voters in the United Kingdom cast their votes in general election.
The election pits UK’s main political parties, the Conservative party headed by Prime Minister Theresa May against Labour party’s Jeremy Corbyn.
Voters will decide who they want to be their next Prime Minister while a total of 650 Westminster MPs will be elected.
The campaign trail has been marked by two terror attacks at London Bridge and Manchester and security has been beefed in these areas as well as across polling stations.
Analysts say the election which was called by Theresa May in April, could be a nightmare for the Prime Minister, who has faced immense criticism.
About 46.9 million people are registered to vote.
